Analysis of cytoplasmic NHERF1 and VEGFR1 expressions in invasive breast cancer. (A) The correlation between protein expression of cytoplasmic NHERF1 and VEGFR1 was evaluated by Pearson's rank correlation coefficient analysis, and a positive significant correlation was established. (B) A representative tissue sample stained with NHERF1 and VEGFR1 antibodies and detected with Alexa Fluor 568 (red) and Alexa Fluor 488 (green) secondary antibodies, respectively, prior to fluorescence microscopy analysis. Arrowheads indicate invasive cells disseminated into the stroma with a high global expression of two proteins, where NHERF1 co-localized with VEGFR1 on cytoplasmic and membranous compartments.
