Effect of 0.5nM 1,25(OH) 2 D 3 on expression of CYP24A1, CD14, CA2, DPP4, ILRL1 and BMP6 in cancer infiltrating fibroblasts and mammary epithelial cells. Cancer infiltrating fibroblasts (n=5) and breast derived cell lines (left to right: HB4A, C5.4, SKBR3, MCF7, MDA-MB231) were cultured in the presence or absence of 0.5nM 1,25(OH)2D3 for 24 h. Three independent assays for each cell line were performed and the mean relative gene expression value was calculated. Gene expression was determined by RT-qPCR and relative expression is shown on the Y axis (which is in log scale for CYP24A1, CA2, CD14, DPP4 and IL1RL1). p values: Wilcoxon signed ranks test.
